BAPCO 2026: Health checks and Wellness Zone among new features at leading event for UK emergency services
Emergency workers who regularly encounter traumatic incidents in the line of duty will be able to receive free well being support at a conference and exhibition in Coventry.
Health and well-being checks, delivered by SISU Health, will be offered to frontline responders, operational support staff and control room teams in a brand-new Wellness Zone at the British APCO Annual Event, taking place at Coventry Building Society Arena on March 25 and 26.
Organised by British APCO, the leading UK association for professionals in public safety technology and communications, the free event will showcase the latest innovations, insight and operationally-relevant discussion.
The Wellness Zone will offer practical wellbeing support, movement, relaxation and stress relief. Its introduction reflects a growing focus on wellbeing across the emergency services.
Visitors can expect interactive experiences, including therapy dogs from Paws in Work, while on the wider show floor TeamPolice will host activities - including a golf simulator challenge in partnership with Tee Shot Golf - to demonstrate how it uses sport and physical activity to support wellbeing across the emergency services community.
A host of other new attractions are lined up for the event which attracts more than 2,000 professionals from across the UK’s 52 police forces, 48 fire services and 14 ambulance services.
A new ESN Zone will offer a dedicated space for informed discussion and real-world insight, enabling visitors to explore the latest Emergency Services Network developments, understand operational progress and engage directly with those involved in delivering the Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme.
The new AWS & Partners Zone will showcase how cloud platforms and specialist partners are supporting the emergency services through modern infrastructure, improved interoperability and data-driven transformation.
The Ordnance Survey GeoZone, will celebrate how geospatial intelligence is becoming one of the most valuable tools in emergency response, supporting everything from situational awareness and planning to multi-agency coordination and frontline navigation.
The BAPCO Annual Event will feature a packed exhibition bringing together over 90 suppliers and thousands of solutions supporting emergency services operations, from radio and network infrastructure to command and control, mapping, body-worn video, AI, analytics and cybersecurity.
Live demonstrations will also be hosted, including a dedicated vehicle demo area showcasing frontline vehicles, equipment and operational technology in action, alongside tech tours and a CPD Conference Programme.
The Critical Communications Today Podcast will record sessions during the Annual Event which will also incorporate the British APCO Annual Dinner, featuring guest speaker Professor Sir
Jonathan Van-Tam, live music from the British Police Symphony Orchestra (BPSO) and the announcement of the Ian Thompson Bursary winners.
