Coventry Building Society Arena to stage celebration of Lego at Coventry Brick Festival

A event celebrating the history and future of LEGO will bring thousands of fans to Coventry Building Society Arena this April.

Coventry Brick Festival is returning on Saturday 4 April and invites families, collectors and adults to immerse themselves in the creative world of LEGO.

It will mark the third year that the showcase has been hosted at the Coventry venue, with new displays including “LEGO Through the Years”, which will take visitors on a journey through the history of one of the world’s most popular toys.

The event will include activities such as lightning-fast speed building competitions, creative mosaic making rounds, Dino Word Hunt and a dedicated building area.

The Dino Word Hunt will see visitors involved search for the dinosaurs hidden amongst the displays who are each holding 1 of 9 words, and then place these words correctly into the puzzle to reveal the correct answer.

During the event, fans can see a unique selection of displays crafted by master builders from across the country, with the experts on hand to give advice to budding LEGO builders.

It also welcomes traders from across the UK to give collectors and builders the chance to buy brand new, rare and retired sets, minifigures, accessories and loose bricks.

More exhibitors than ever before are expected to attend, offering one of the widest selections of LEGO products seen at a Brick Festival event to date.

Jasmine Holder, from Coventry Brick Festival organisers Brick Festival Events, said: “We’re excited to be bringing the event back to Coventry Building Society Arena for a second year.

“The inaugural event was a huge success and we are expecting to attract even more visitors for this second iteration.

“LEGO Through the Years will be a real highlight and offers something special for visitors of all ages, whether they grew up with classic sets or are discovering LEGO for the first time.

“With a refreshed programme of activities and an expanded exhibitor line-up, there will be plenty for families, collectors and builders to enjoy across the day.”

Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, added: “This is a brilliant event that attracts people of all ages to the venue. It was a very popular event in its first year and is a perfect example of the diverse range of shows we host at the venue throughout the year.

Early Bird tickets, which include an additional hour of access and a free LEGO gift on entry, are available alongside standard entry passes.
