Coventry Building Society Arena is enhancing its business events offer with the launch of a refreshed space inspired by the city’s rich heritage of craftsmanship.
The venue has launched ‘The Watchmakers Lounge’ as its latest reimagined area for conferences, exhibitions and meetings.
The space, which also acts a premium dining-led experience lounge for hospitality at Coventry City football matches, overlooks the stadium bowl and can accommodate up to 100 delegates.
After launching for the first time at a recent football fixture, the space has now been brought into the venue’s portfolio for business events, with Watchmakers suitable for small meetings, social events, networking events and as a breakout space for larger conferences.
The design of the lounge draws inspiration from Coventry’s rich industrial heritage, and its watchmaking and engineering history, with Coventry having been the watchmaking centre of England in the 18th century.
This sees the design of the multi-functional space reflect themes of precision, craftsmanship and performance.
Coventry Building Society Arena has more than 20,000 sqm of flexible event space and can host events ranging from 10 to 7,000 delegates. The venue also benefits from 2,200 onsite car parking spaces and is within a two-hour drive of 75 per cent of the UK population.
The Watchmakers Lounge is part of a new programme of investment in lounges, events spaces and the wider visitor experience across the Arena.
It follows continued growth in the conference, exhibition and meetings area of the Arena’s business over the last 12 months, with the venue seeing increased demand for versatile and unique character-led spaces.
Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “We have seen growing demand for flexible spaces that can support a range of event formats, from theatre-style presentations through to smaller meetings and breakout sessions.
“It’s an exciting time for the Arena, with continued growth across sport, live events and our business events programme, so it is the right time to capitalise on that momentum with investment in spaces such as Watchmakers.
“The Watchmakers Lounge is a premium space and we are confident it will be a popular choice for event organisers.”
