Coventry Building Society Arena Continues Record Growth in Conference and Events Business

Coventry Building Society Arena has delivered record non-matchday conference and events revenue for a second year running as it continues to strengthen its position in the business events market.

The leading multi-purpose venue, which is bringing its 20th anniversary year to a close this summer, recorded 8.5 per cent revenue growth over the last financial year.

Its conference, exhibition and events business has grown by 34 per cent over the last two years.

The Arena attracted 84 new events to the venue over the last 12 months and hosted 488 events during the year from May 2025 to April 2026, with its repeat business rate at 68 per cent.

The venue has also reported an increase in the average number of delegates per event and a trend of extending to additional days across conferences, exhibitions and meetings.

The growth comes despite continued challenges in the wider economy and reflects rising demand for face-to-face business events, with Coventry’s central location continuing to be a key sales driver for organisers.

Coventry Building Society Arena offers more than 20,000 sqm of flexible event space and has continued to invest in its facilities, including the opening of Watchmakers and investment in a series of other restaurant spaces.

Investment has also been completed in the on-site DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, with all rooms now refurbished in the 121-bedroom hotel.

The venue has also strengthened its partnerships, including working with CBRE to support facilities management and continuing its partnership with E.ON to make the venue more sustainable and efficient.

Its conference, exhibition and meetings business is also supported by a strong local supply chain, including Coventry Coffee Company and Purple Planet Packaging.

Paul Michael, Managing Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “To deliver record non-matchday conference and events revenue for the second year running is a major achievement.

“These annual figures reflect the strength of our team, the flexibility of the venue and the confidence organisers continue to show in hosting events with us.

“This growth has been driven by a settled and proactive sales team that has been in place for several years, building relationships with organisers, agencies and the wider business community.

“Our location in the centre of the country remains a major advantage, but we have also continued to invest in the venue.

“There is major investment is being made to support the requirements of Premier League football and that is supporting us to also deliver elite level events and the best possible experiences for conferences, exhibitions, meetings and events.”
