Managing Director Paul Michael to depart after nearly a Decade at Coventry Building Society Arena.
Following the recent long-term agreement reached with Legends Global, Paul Michael is set to depart in early 2027 after a period of significant progress, commercial growth and transformation at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Joining the Coventry Building Society Arena in 2017, and after several executive roles culminating in his appointment in 2023 as managing director, he successfully navigated two ownership changes (no mean feat) and played a pivotal role in driving the Arena’s commercial ambitions and strengthening its position as a leading UK destination for sport, live entertainment, conferences and corporate events.
Doug King, owner, said: “There is no doubt, Paul has made a valuable contribution to the Coventry Building Society Arena during an important and turbulent period in the Arena’s history. From the bankruptcy of Wasps Rugby Club less than four years ago through the interim ownership of Frasers Group he has been a dedicated, capable and reliable leader, driving the business forward towards what will now be a new chapter that awaits.
I would like to thank Paul personally for his hard work and support in bringing the football club and the Arena together for the first time just over a year ago, and I wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.”
