Golden Buzzer Act ‘Born To Perform’ Set for Kidz to Adultz 25th Celebration at Coventry Building Society Arena

A free event that supports children with disabilities and additional needs will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special performance by a group of Britain’s Got Talent stars.

Born To Perform, an inclusive dance school for performers with special educational needs, rose to fame on the 2022 series of the hit ITV show, winning a Golden Buzzer prize and an army of new fans nationwide.

The Northamptonshire-based group, who were universally applauded for breaking down disability barriers, will perform at Kidz to Adultz Middle, which is free to attend, at Coventry Building Society Arena on Thursday, March 12.

Kidz to Adultz Middle connects families, carers and professionals from across the Midlands for a special day of expert advice, practical support and inclusive fun. It will feature exhibitions from more than 100 companies and organisations that provide equipment, products and services for individuals with disabilities and additional needs.

The event will spotlight, as its core theme, the help that is available for young disabled people and their families to navigate life’s major transitions; from preparing for adulthood and further education to moving into employment or gaining greater independence.

Visitors will be able to explore dedicated information and services designed to make these transitions smoother and more informed.

A comprehensive programme of free CPD-certified seminars has been lined up to explore a wide range of topics relevant to parents, carers and professionals working with children and young people with additional needs. Attendees can gain valuable insights and up-to-date information to support their work and family life, while also collecting CPD hours.

A fun-filled soft play area, face painting and balloon modelling will be provided to keep little ones occupied while a number of exhibitors are also expected to offer their own entertainment.

To mark 25 years of Kidz to Adultz, visitors will have the chance to enter an anniversary competition with fantastic prizes up for grabs, including tickets to see Take That in concert at Coventry Building Society Arena in June. Full competition details will be available at the event.

Carmel Hourigan, from Kidz to Adultz Exhibitions, said: “We’re delighted to have Born To Perform join us to bring energy, joy, and celebration to our 25th anniversary event.

“Their inspirational performances on Britain’s Got Talent challenged misconceptions and showed exactly what children and young people with additional needs are capable of – which is an awful lot.

“We’ll also have lots of very useful exhibitions and seminars. Attending Kidz to Adultz has always been a valuable way to gather information about the latest developments, technologies and support available to connect families, carers and professionals, and this year’s event will be no different.”

Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “Kidz to Adultz is such a fun and informative event for anyone who supports a child or young person with additional

needs. The fact it’s been going now for 25 years says a lot about its value and importance to people impacted by disability and special educational needs.

“We were really keen as a venue to offer extra special support to help the event celebrate its 25th birthday. Arranging Take That tickets as a top prize in the anniversary competition seemed liked the perfect way to do that.”
