About the Role
Coventry Building Society Arena is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to lead and oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of one of the UK’s most iconic multi-purpose venues. This is a pivotal leadership role, ensuring the arena remains operationally ready, safe, and capable of delivering world-class experiences for fans, visitors, and event clients.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will manage cross-functional operational teams, drive service excellence, and ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards. You will also play a strategic role in shaping the arena’s future, ensuring it remains fit for purpose and aligned with evolving commercial, legislative, and sustainability demands.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all operational functions across the arena, including facilities, safety, security, and event delivery.
Ensure the venue meets the highest standards of safety, maintenance, and customer experience.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including Coventry City Football Club (CCFC), Coventry City Council, the Safety Advisory Group, and other regulatory bodies.
Oversee the planning and execution of major events, ensuring seamless coordination and operational excellence.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across operational processes.
Support the commercial success of the arena through strategic planning and operational adaptability.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
