New Race Experience Sports bar opens to visitors at Coventry Building Society Arena

The Race Experience

A new sports bar combining live sport with an immersive racing experience has opened its doors at Coventry Building Society Arena.

The Race Experience is located alongside the new flagship The COV Store at the arena but operates as a standalone venue outside of matchdays.

It is open seven days a week and work is being completed to give the bar its own dedicated entrance at Coventry Building Society Arena.

Visitors do not need to be shopping at the store, attending a Coventry City match or visiting another event at the Arena to book a racing session, grab a drink in the bar or watch live sport.

The Race Experience features 10 single-seater simulators, where visitors can take on some of the world’s best-known racing circuits and compete to set the fastest lap, with two simulators for juniors also available.

The bar will show Grand Prix weekends, Premier League matches, major NFL fixtures and other live sport and is being opened up for private hire for birthdays, celebrations and group nights out.

Private bookings can combine access to the simulators and bar with live sport screenings, pizza and unlimited soft and hot drinks, with other options include an arrival drink and buckets of beer for tables.

Guests can also pop in for a drink to catch the biggest moments in sport. There will also be free parking for up to three hours available near experience entrance on a first come, first served basis.

The space is also set to be used as part of the Arena’s busy calendar of conferences, exhibitions and meetings, including for networking events, team-building activities and drinks receptions.

“People can come to race, watch some of the biggest moments in sport or meet friends for food and drink. It is also set to be one of the premier spots for people in the city to book for private events, celebrations and parties.
