Take That Fans Given Essential Travel, Entry and Safety Advice Ahead of Coventry Arena Concerts

Take That fans are being told everything they need to know ahead of three major concerts at Coventry Building Society Arena, including how to plan their travel and what they can and cannot bring.

The iconic group will perform at the Arena on Thursday 4 June, Friday 5 June and Saturday 6 June, with around 100,000 concert goers expected across the three nights.

Fans are being urged to plan their journeys in advance, arrive in good time and check the full event information before travelling to the Arena.

Doors to the East Stand outdoor village and Exhibition Hall will open at 4pm on Thursday 4 June and Friday 5 June, with the stadium bowl opening at 5pm.

On Saturday 6 June, the East Stand outdoor village and Exhibition Hall will open an hour earlier at 3pm, with the stadium bowl opening at 5pm.

Last entry at gates will be 9.30pm on all three nights. Overnight queuing and camping is not permitted, and fans are being asked to arrive from doors time to help reduce queues.

All visitors must use the gate specified on their ticket, as entry will only be permitted through their designated gate.

Fans are also being reminded that bags must be no larger than A4 size and bringing a bag is discouraged to help speed up entry.

Prohibited items include large luggage, helmets, weapons, alcohol, glass, cans, perfume bottles, pyrotechnics, smoke bombs, flares, folding chairs, camping equipment, professional cameras, tablets, computers, laser pointers, selfie sticks, inflatables, large umbrellas, drones, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards and any items deemed inappropriate or offensive by the venue.

A dedicated shuttle bus service will run between Coventry Train Station and the Arena, with pick-up and drop-off at Arena Shopping Park. The service will start at 2pm on all concert nights and run in both directions every 30 minutes. Shuttle buses will cost £5.

All taxis and Ubers will be directed to Arena Shopping Park only, with no pick-ups permitted outside the Arena, with Judds Lane being closed to vehicles at the end of the event and not accessible for pick-ups. On-site parking must be booked in advance at www.cbsarenaparking.co.uk and is subject to availability. Any further parking enquiries should be directed to cbsarena@apcoa.com.

Additional park and walk options will be available nearby, including Arena Shopping Park on all concert nights and Coventry Welsh RFC on Saturday, June 6 only.

A closure of the A444 Jimmy Hill Way will also be in place for up to one hour after each concert to support the safe exit of pedestrians.

Concert goers will see armed officers, dog unit officers, drones and officers from the British Transport Police around the venue as part of West Midlands Police’s Project Servator to keep fans safe at the venue.

Fans are being urged to report anything that does not look right to an Arena member of staff or steward in the area. This could include an unattended item or someone acting unusually. Information can also be submitted anonymously via www.gov.uk/ACT, or by calling 999 in an emergency.

Paul Michael, Managing Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “We are all set for an incredible three nights as we welcome Take That fans to Coventry Building Society Arena.

“We want everyone attending to have a fantastic and enjoyable experience with us and we would urge all concert goers to read through the event information carefully.”
