New sustainable practices and how robotics will impact the future of the professional cleaning industry will be in focus at a major national event in Coventry in December.

More than 300 cleaning and hygiene professionals from across the UK will be heading to the Cleaning Excellence Conference & Awards at Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday 6 December.

The industry-leading event, now in its second year, is expecting to see a significant growth in visitor and exhibitor numbers.

It takes place alongside the British Institute of Cleaning Science conference, which is run by the largest professional and educational body in the cleaning industry, with over 57,00 members.

Robotics and the future of professional cleaning machines will also be discussed, as well as the impact new technologies will have on the cleaning and hygiene sector. Leaders from the industry will also highlight how digitisation can be the smartest way for a business to improve resourcing and cost efficiencies.

The importance of apprenticeships, training and educational opportunities in the sector which can support people to develop careers in the sector will also be in the spotlight.

Cleaning Excellence Conference is expected to host 35 exhibitors on the day which will be showcasing the latest innovations in the sector.

The day closes with a celebration of the very best of the professional cleaning industry at the second-annual Cleaning Excellence Awards, in partnership with The Hill Cub.
