Conferences, exhibitions and meetings held at Coventry Building Society Arena can now include immersive racing following further investment in the venue’s business events offer.

The Race Experience – which allows visitors to take on world famous virtual racing circuit in a simulator - has been added to the range of spaces and experiences available to event organisers at the Arena.

It can be incorporated into events of all scales, from small meetings and private staff events to major conferences and exhibitions welcoming thousands of delegates.

The Race Experience has been introduced as organisers seek to develop a wider and more diverse delegate experience, with events increasingly including informal networking, team building and social activities alongside their main programmes.

Coventry Building Society Arena has also seen more conferences and exhibitions extend across multiple days and use a wider range of spaces around the venue. The venue aims to keep delegates on site for longer through added value experiences such as The Race Experience.

The experience features 10 single-seater racing simulators, enabling delegates to compete to set the fastest lap on some of the world’s most famous racing circuits.

It is also available as a private bar and event area for businesses to book, either as part of a wider event at or as a standalone space for staff socials and networking evenings.

The venue is offering exclusive package prices, with extended use of simulators and prices offering a selection of food and drink options.

The Race Experience will be accessed through a new dedicated entrance which will be seamlessly connected to the Arena’s wider conference and exhibition spaces.

The investment sees the Arena add to the 20,000 sqm of flexible event space that is already available at the venue, which can host events for between 10 and 7,000 delegates.

It follows recent investment to create The Watchmakers Lounge, a conference and meetings space for up to 100 delegates, and the completion of a full refurbishment of the 119 bedrooms at its on-site Doubletree by Hilton hotel.

Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “Our strategy is to continue expanding what organisers can offer delegates under one roof, so there is more to an event at the Arena than the main conference or exhibition.

“This latest investment gives organisers more choice when planning networking, team building and social activities for delegates.

“We are increasingly seeing delegates stay on site for longer, and organisers tell us they want new ways to bring people together beyond traditional networking. We need to respond to that by introducing different experiences across the Arena.

“Our focus is on giving people the best possible experience whenever they come to the Arena, whether for a conference, exhibition, meeting or any other event.”
