National Sales Conference 2019

A conference dedicated to developing the UK sales industry is riding a wave of success after clinching a record year of attendees for the second year in a row.

The National Sales Conference, now in its sixth year at Ricoh Arena, saw more than 1,000 delegates from across the country attending the two-day event on 27 and 28 November - up from 700 delegates on last year.

The conference welcomed sales professionals across all business sectors to learn more about industry topics, including 12 masterclass sessions such as what the sales manager of the future looks like, how to hold a high price during negotiation, and tips for selling on social media.

The two-day event – which also featured 25 industry-leading motivational speakers and 30 sessions in total - closed with a packed auditorium to see American television personality and motivational speaker, Larry Winget, where the “Pitbull of Personal Development” gave a talk on how to grow both personally and professionally.

Steve Lindsey, Managing Director of Lincoln West who organised the event, said: “This is an event that aims to unlock additional levels of motivation, creativity and belief that can be applied into many facets of life, but predominantly sales.”

“The year-on-year growth we are seeing is testament to the insightful and motivational content on show that makes sales professionals want to either return themselves or send their colleagues along.”

“The introduction of 12 breakout sessions proved incredibly popular – especially the Directors Discussion Forum and Brian Mayne’s goal mapping session which were welcomed by delegates as they take stock of the challenges ahead for 2020 and how to overcome them.”

The National Sales Conference was born in 2014 at Ricoh Arena, which is owned by Wasps Group.

Stuart Cain, Chief Executive (Venue) at Wasps Group, added: “The National Sales Conference’s success is what we are all about as a venue – helping shows to develop and grow over a sustained period.

“Around three quarters of the shows that come to us are repeat customers, and we look forward to working with Lincoln West in the future to explore how they can utilise more of the 6,000 square metres’ worth of indoor space to grow the show further.”

The National Sales Conference 2019 was headline sponsored by Showpad with Highspot amongst 25 other notable industry partners.
