LEADING DIY SHOW CELEBRATING 21ST ANNIVERSARY

ITS BIGGEST SHOW EVER

One of the UK’s leading DIY trade shows is expecting to hold its biggest show ever at the Ricoh Arena to mark its 21st anniversary.

Totally DIY and Totally Tools will take place between Sunday, February 15 to Tuesday, February 17 in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall.

Retailers, wholesalers and distributors connected with DIY and tool products will have the opportunity to see the products and services available from leading suppliers across the UK and further afield as well as attend a series of seminars hosted by experts from the industry.

Totally Tools will run alongside Totally DIY to promote hand tools, power tools and accessories used by professionals and people who love DIY.

Visitor numbers and exhibitors rose by 20 per cent in 2014 – and organisers believe that numbers will again increase after introducing new elements for 2015.

Paul Grinsell, of Totally DIY and Totally Tools, said one of the new ideas was the Totally Business Match Programme which will be run along the lines of speed dating for one hour from 2.45pm on each day of the show.

He said: “This is a new initiative to bring retailers and suppliers together for ten-minute meetings based around products and services that retailers have said they are interested in.

“Before the show starts, we are asking retailers, trade merchants and wholesalers to submit a list of products and services they would like to see so that we can match them with suitable exhibitors.

“Exhibitors will then have ten minutes to discuss their new product range and at the end of the introductory meeting, there is a chance to arrange a more detailed meeting at a later date should both agree.

“We are also setting up an Innovation Zone which will be hosted by the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) and dedicated to companies and products new to the DIY market.

“We run Totally DIY and Totally Tools in February to bring together those involved in DIY and home improvements industry ahead of the peak Easter period when DIY is particularly popular and we are looking forward to a memorable 21st show.”

Chris Owen, senior events manager at the Ricoh Arena, said this was the third successive year the show has been held at the venue.

“The Jaguar Exhibition Hall will be even busier than normal with more exhibitors and visitors due to attend Totally DIY and Totally Tools this year,” he said.

“We are also hosting a black-tie dinner for the DIY Week Awards ceremony in the E.ON Lounge on February 16 when 16 awards will be presented.

“Totally DIY and Totally Tools is as innovative as the products and services which are showcased here and over the last 20 years, it has established itself as a must-attend for suppliers and buyers.”
