EBME Expo 2026 to Highlight AI, Robotics and Smart Hospital Technology at Coventry Building Society Arena

Cutting-edge medical technology and equipment that could shape the government’s New Hospital Programme (NHP) will be exhibited at a leading healthcare conference in Coventry.

More than 200 leading medical device companies, including GE HealthCare, BD, Mindray, ZOLL, Philips and Karl Storz, will display new products, solutions and innovations at the EBME Expo, the UK’s only independent exhibition and conference series dedicated to healthcare technology.

They will set out to influence key decision makers and procurement officers within the NHS, as the Department for Health and Social Care and NHS England push forward with plans for the NHP, a £60 billion project that aims to deliver 46 new hospital schemes by 2046.

The increased use of robotics, AI and digital technology in hospitals, all geared at preventing human error, improving efficiencies and streamlining patient care, are set to be key themes at this year’s Expo, which takes place at Coventry Building Society Arena, from June 24 to 25.

The free to attend event will also provide networking and learning opportunities for more than 2,500 professionals from NHS trusts, private hospitals, service providers, importers and distributors across the full medical device supply.

Five CPD-accredited conferences will cover clinical engineering, procurement, operating theatres, medical device connectivity and training. Each will be chaired by respected industry professionals and aligned to the NHS 10 Year Plan, giving visitors the opportunity to keep pace with evolving regulations, industry priorities and healthcare technology developments.

Nata Zaman, Deputy Director of Equipping for the NHP at NHS England, will speak during the EBME Conference on day one and the Medical Device Connectivity Conference on day two.

Now in its 17th year, the Expo will also host industry-led workshops complete with product demonstrations, including a brand-new heart monitoring system. These hands-on, practical sessions will offer a direct insight into emerging technologies, best practice and practical applications across healthcare engineering and medical technology.

EXPO Chairman Professor John Sandham said: “Centred around our 2026 theme, 'Intelligent Hospitals,' this year’s event explores how integrated, data-driven technologies are revolutionizing patient care.

“With five dedicated conference streams, the Expo delivers focused, practical insight for professionals across the healthcare technology landscape.

“Delegates will have the opportunity to engage directly with over 200 exhibitors, explore the latest innovations in medical equipment and services, and gain hands-on experience with the technologies shaping the future of healthcare delivery.”

Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “The Expo’s impressive line-up of exhibitors and CPD points, make it an essential event for anyone wishing to stay current and informed within the medical technology and healthcare sectors.

“No other event enables healthcare professionals to exchange ideas and build valuable connections in quite the same way. And all whilst learning about fascinating products and innovations that are likely to shape the future of patient care in the UK for years to come.” For tickets, visit https://www.ebme-expo.com/pre-registration
