Childcare & Education Expo Returns to Coventry Building Society Arena with special guest Michael Rosen
One of the UK’s best-loved children’s literature authors and poets will be the special guest when thousands of childcare and early years education professionals attend a major event in Coventry.
Childcare & Education Expo will return to Coventry Building Society Arena in September and the event is set to welcome author Michael Rosen, who will be opening the event, leading a seminar and hosting an exclusive signing session of his books.
Rosen, best known for his books We're Going on a Bear Hunt (with Helen Oxenbury) and Quick, Let's Get Out of Here, will be delivering seminars on Thriving in Early Years and The Power of Story.
The expo is the longest-running event for the industry and attracts nursery owners, directors, managers and senior management within day nurseries and the early years sector, offering them opportunities for collaboration, personal and professional development.
It is expected to attract more than 3,000 early years professionals to the Coventry venue on Friday 26 September and Saturday 27 September.
Childcare & Education Expo has continued to grow since it was first hosted in 2010 and will see more speakers than ever before this year, accompanied by more than 100 companies showcasing products, innovations and resources.
This year will include a ‘What’s My Why Wall’ that celebrates the vibrant early years sector and encourages visitors to the show to share words of encouragement or wisdom.
To provide further support to people working in the sector, Childcare & Education Expo will host a ‘Share & Support Hub’ – which encourages informal discussions to share experiences and insights between peers.
An Early Years Breakfast Summit will enable owners and senior nursery group directors and managers to talk about topics and issues facing the sector such as recruitment, retention, funding and Ofsted Inspections.
For the first time this year, the event will feature a one-day conference designed exclusively for Early Years Leaders, supported by Hope. It will feature expert speakers sharing innovative insights, practical strategies, and the latest research to empower professionals in helping every child with SEND to thrive.
Kara Neill, Marketing Manager at Childcare & Education Expo, said: “There are growing pressures across the early years sector and this event will provide an opportunity to gain important knowledge and learn more about how to tackle the challenges ahead.
“But importantly it is a space for sharing too, for people across the sector to support each other, share experiences and advice on best practice.
“We’re expecting topics of conversation throughout the two days to focus around recruitment and retention, funding, access and affordability, updates to inspections and, crucially, support for children with SEND.
“We’re excited to be back at Coventry Building Society Arena again this year. The venue and their staff have always looked after us and are always on hand to help us with any issues we have.”
Childcare & Education Expo’s first ever event was held at Coventry Building Society Arena in 2010.
Jenni Ford, Director of Sales & Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arean, said: “It has been 15 years since we first hosted this event, and it is fantastic to see its continued growth over that period.”
