Care Sector's Got Talent Final 2024

Unsung heroes from across the care sector are set to take the stage and showcase their remarkable talents during an event in Coventry.

More than 300 people are expected to attend this year’s Care Sector’s Got Talent with people from across the care sector preparing to step into the limelight. The event is an annual showcase of entertainment skills from across the industry and is now in its 4th year. It is the first time the event has been held at Coventry Building Society Arena.

Auditions were submitted to an experienced judging panel and now only eight performers remain in the hunt for the CSGT crown ahead of next month’s live final at the Arena.

Care Sector’s Got Talent is a programme organised by Championing Social Care. The Programme Chair for ‘Talent’, is Aneurin Brown, Managing Director of Hallmark Care Homes.

“We have had a record number of entries this year. We've been overwhelmed by the incredible talent showcased once again. It's heartening to see such widespread support for this event, which truly shines a spotlight on the exceptional individuals within the care sector.”

The competition, modelled on the hit ITV show Britain’s Got Talent, has also been a fantastic outlet to support the mental health of people in the care sector.

Last year's winners, Scottish singing duo Michael and Charlene, captivated audiences with their performances at various national care events throughout the year. One finalist was scouted by Britain's Got Talent following her participation in the 2023 event, highlighting the calibre of talent on show.

In 2022, it was Surrey-based carer Sarabdeep Singh who picked up the top prize thanks to the type of all-action, traditional dance routine he used to teach in India before moving to the UK.

“From childhood at the age of nine, I used to perform; it’s always been my hobby and it makes me happy,” he said.

“Social care was my first job in the UK and I would never do another job! I love supporting and working with older people.”

Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said:

“This is a wonderful event and will be shining the spotlight on the incredible people that work across the care sector. We are proud to be hosting it for the first time.”
