RECORD-BREAKING, CAPACITY CROWD TO WATCH AVIVA PREMIERSHIP’S NEW MIDLANDS DERBY

Wasps have today announced that their end of season battle against local rivals Leicester Tigers on Saturday 9th May at the Ricoh Arena has sold out. Demand for tickets to the ‘The Stinger’ has seen all 32,600 seats sold for the game as both clubs continue their fight to secure a top six finish for European Champions Cup qualification and push for the Aviva Premiership play-offs.

The Aviva Premiership home ground attendance record stands at 28,254, set at Wasps’ inaugural game at the Ricoh Arena in December last year against London Irish. This will be the first time the stadium has sold out for a sporting event since Coventry City played Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-finals in 2009.

The only chance to get a ticket for the game is by purchasing one of 20 remaining hospitality places available in the Ricoh Arena’s Phoenix Suite, priced at £80 +VAT, or by entering Wasps’ “Best Seat in the House” competition, where one lucky fan has the chance to watch the game from the comfort of their very own sofa in the South Stand. The lucky winner will enjoy free refreshments, be able to invite three friends and will be joined by a player from the Wasps playing squad. The closing date for entry is midnight on Tuesday 5th May.
