NVQ 2 in Spectator Safety

Ricoh Arena is proud to be presenting the latest batch of training certificates to its matchday stewarding team. The main focus for our customers is on the pitch but behind the scenes is a hard working team of individuals that are present to ensure the safety and security for everyone whilst they are here. The team has reached the required national standard of NVQ 2 in Spectator Safety. The qualification includes modules on emergency procedures, customer service, fire safety etc. Ricoh Arena is constantly looking to ensure that the matchday experience is a good one and the team are here come rain or shine.  We are constantly recruiting stewards and provide the training and investment to our staff as part of the recruitment process.

In the current climate around safety and security in places of public entertainment , the behind the scenes staff form an essential part of being able to stage sporting events and concerts. The role is as critical of the players and performers, without them we wouldn’t be able to open the gates, so a massive thank you to them and all of the Safety Operations Team!
