RICOH ARENA AND MA EXHIBITIONS SIGN MAJOR NEW EVENTS DEAL
The Ricoh Arena and MA Exhibitions have signed a major new events deal.
After working together for the last four years on the award winning Engineering Design Show, MA Exhibitions has now extended the partnership with the Ricoh Arena until 2018.
The move is part of a six-figure deal between the exhibition arm of media company Mark Allen Group and the Ricoh Arena to host eight shows over three years at the venue.
The deal also includes the return of MA Exhibitions’ established Engineering Design Show at the Ricoh Arena for the next three years, starting in October, having attracted around 750 exhibitors and over 14,000 design engineers to the same venue over the last four years.
Ed Tranter, managing director of MA Exhibitions said that the length of the deal indicates the strong working relationship with the Ricoh Arena.
He said: “This is the most significant venue agreement we have undertaken and shows the level of trust and partnership we have in place with the team in Coventry. Since its acquisition by Wasps, the venue really has been transformed.”
This new deal will include two new show launches: The Manufacturing Management Show and PrintWeek Live!
Ed added: “Both events are national shows and the central location of the Ricoh Arena provides easy access for visitors from all over the UK, and that’s a great selling point for both events and of course the Midlands’ strong heritage in manufacturing is just further emphasis.
“Before we launch any show we undertake extensive potential visitor and exhibitor research and for these shows Coventry ticked every box.”
The Manufacturing Management Show opens its doors on Wednesday, 23rd November and Thursday, 24th November 2016, and will cover a range of information related to the industry including materials handling, maintenance, staff management and continuous improvement.
PrintWeek Live! will be arriving at the Ericsson Exhibition Hall on Wednesday, 8th March and Thursday, 9th March 2017 and will focus on the whole UK print industry, headline sponsors include Heidelberg, Xerox, Duplo, Close Asset Finance, Tharstern and Antalis.
Andy Gibb, managing director at the Ricoh Arena, added: “We are proud to host some of the UK’s best trade shows here at the Ricoh Arena, and this further demonstrates the Ricoh Arena as a multi-purpose venue that attracts thousands of people into the city every year.
“Since the Engineering Design Show started here four years ago, we have seen over 14,000 visitors through the door in addition to hundreds of exhibitors, and we look forward to welcoming thousands more over the next three years.”
