HAVE A GO AT THE WASPS WIGGLE!

You've heard of the Harlem Shake, the Cha Cha Slide and the Macarena – now supporters will have the chance to have a go at the Wasps Wiggle at the club’s biggest game of the season on Saturday!

Created by young and talented performers at the Godiva Academy of Performing Arts (GAPA), the Wiggle has taken Wasps by storm.

The Wasps Wiggle has been a huge hit on social media following Wasps’ Aviva Premiership match against Saracens on December 27 with even the movers and shakers in the directors box seen wiggling!

Kelly Walsh, the co-owner of GAPA, who teaches performing arts at President Kennedy School in Rookery Lane, Coventry, said: “It’s great to get our local children performing at the Ricoh Arena, it’s an amazing experience for them.

“The Wiggle is so infectious and it is great to see people in the crowd following the moves.”

European qualification is still within Wasps’ grasp when Dai Young men’s face Leinster at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, kick-off 3.15pm.

A bonus point win would guarantee a quarter-final place in the European Champions Cup with Wasps currently second in Pool 5.

At Saturday’s game, dancers from the GAPA will be showcasing the moves to the Wiggle once again and teaching supporters how to do it.

In an added twist ahead of the match, Wasps mascot Sting is currently making a video to show fans how to do the Wasps Wiggle with support from dancers from the GAPA.

Sting said: “The Wasps Wiggle is designed to get everyone to have even more fun at our games, and keep warm. We want everyone to Wiggle at half-time against Leinster.”

Wasps will be aiming to complete the double over three-times European champions Leinster in the European Champions Cup following their impressive 33-6 win over Leinster in Dublin last November.

There are numerous other permutations with a four-point win, as this will come down to other results across the five groups. Wasps lie second in Pool 5, known as the Group of Death, with all four teams having won the European Champions Cup, and aim to put the heartbreak of their last-second 15-11 defeat at Toulon on Sunday behind them.

Tickets are available from £15 for adults with under-10s going free and are available fromwww.wasps.co.uk or by ringing 024 7678 6411.
