As a modern business, corporate sustainability is a number one priority. Here are just some of the actions we have taken to manage our environmental impact:

  • Installing over 200 automated meter readers for water, gas, and electricity to monitor our consumption.
  • Investing in energy reduction through LED Lighting fixtures.
  • Creating a ‘Switch Off’ mascot to raise environmental awareness amongst staff, tenants, and the local community.

Achievements since opening in 2005:

  • Reducing carbon footprint by 23%
  • Reducing gas consumption by 38,805 M3
  • Reducing water consumption by 11.9%.

Wasps Holding Limited – Group Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Wasps Holdings Limited’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ended 30 June 2018.

Our Operations

Wasps Rugby acquired the arena in October 2014, and in the 2016/17 season were top of the premiership. With this ground-breaking acquisition, Wasps is now one of the largest rugby clubs in Europe with world-class facilities.

We are an award-winning venue which has a mix of state of the art conference, banqueting, exhibition, hotel, music, and sports facilities. Visited by over 1 million people each year it is a firm favourite in the UK for music promoters as well as business and sports event organisers having hosted global artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay, Rihanna and Robbie Williams.

Our Commitments and Policy on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking

The Group makes a public commitment to act ethically and with integrity in its business relationships and to adopt responsible business practices. The Group has no tolerance to any form of modern slavery or human trafficking and is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in its supply chains or in any part of its business. As part of this commitment, in the year ended 30 June 2018, the Group is working on implementing a Modern Slavery Policy to assist its employees and suppliers achieve this aim.

Our Expectations of its Supply Chains

The Group expects, and endeavors to ensure, that organisations within its supply chains also have no tolerance to any form of modern slavery and human trafficking and adopt responsible business practices in respect of reducing the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking. The Group expects these organisations to have suitable policies and practices in this area. In the 2017/18 financial year the Group will focus its ongoing work in higher-risk areas.

Training of Employees

The Group is currently reviewing its relevant processes which will permit focussed training and guidance to be provided for those with relevant responsibilities to enable them to assess risks, performance, and compliance in this area. The Group endeavours to ensure an appropriate level of understanding of its people of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in its supply chains or in any part of its business through regular communication and training where considered to be appropriate.

We have proudly fundraised and gained sponsorship for a range of great local events including:

  • The Warwickshire Lions Raft Race for Dogs for the Disabled
  • The Seven in Seven Cycle for Help Harry Help Others Cancer Support
  • A 24-hour static bike challenge raising funds for Memusi Foundation.

As a business we support nominated charities each year, as well as working closely with Wasps Community Foundation.
